Frequently Asked Questions

¿Cómo funcionará el proceso?

When a tip is submitted, a trained technician reviews it and sends it to the school POC by email or phone, depending on urgency. The technician may also contact local law enforcement in a critical situation or at the POC’s request.

¿Cambia esto la forma en que las escuelas manejan la seguridad o dan seguimiento a los incidentes relacionados con la seguridad?

Not at all. SafeOregon is an information sharing tool and an early warning system, not a determination of fact. All reports from SafeOregon should be investigated and handled per established policies and procedures like anything else.
